I’ve Been MIA

I know, I know….I’ve been MIA (Missing In Action) on the blog lately. My family has been in  the midst of moving. Where to you ask…well, it’s my great pleasure to announce that as of this Sunday we will be living in Lebanon, IN. Why? Well all kinds of reasons acutually. First, my wife Julie got a new job in the Lebanon area. About 80% of my work is already in Boone Co. and our church is in Lebanon in which we are EXTREMELY involved. So, it just made sense for us to move. Now, to all my faithful clients and friends in Crawfordsville and Montgomery Co. I will still be available for portrait sessions. Just drop me a note and we will make it happen. We have enjoyed living in Crawfordsville for the last 3 years but it’s time for some change. Now, since this is a photo blog below I attached a picture from my last session with Cheyenne and Brooke so you would have something beautiful to look at. Enjoy!

Family Heritage

I had the opportunity a few weeks ago to attend a family reunion. It was a reunion for my Mom’s side of the family. I have to say I am a blessed man with an amazing family. I have a fantastic Mom and Dad, a great brother and sister in law, beautiful wife and amazing sons. I’m very lucky!! What was fun about the reunion was to reconnect with my extended family. I grew up 3 hours away from both my Mom and Dads families. I didn’t grow up close to my extended family and as an adult I haven’t been close so the reunion had a special meaning to me. I was able to talk and share with folks who I’ve only know from a distance and discover that…well…I’ve got a great family. I hope in the years to come I can stay better connected and to help my boys be more connected with their extended family than I’ve been. I guess I’m just feeling nostolgic today. Well, here are some pics for your viewing pleasure.

My boys at the Colts Camp

Last monday I had a photo shoot over in Anderson, In. Well it just so happens that the Indianapolis Colts are holding their training camp in Anderson. So, we got up extra early and the whole family headed over to watch the “Boys in Blue” practice. Both of my sons are HUGE Colts fans and even BIGGER Peyton Manning fans. They had a great time at the camp. They got to see the team practice and to see Peyton throwing the football. They were on cloud nine. The only down side was that we stood in the autograph line for about an hour and just when there were about 10 people ahead of us until our turn they shut the line down. The boys were a bit bummed but it was a great lesson in attitude for them…(and me) Ha! Now hopefully I can get them to a game this year. If I can pull that off I’ll offically be “SUPER DAD!!!”  Hear are a few pics from our day.

Brookville Lake Camping

This last weekend my family and I enjoyed the 4th of July celebration camping at Brookville Lake in East Central Indiana. We had an awesome time. We did some BBQing, fishing, swimming and sitting around being lazy. All in all it was a very relaxing weekend. I’ve attached a few pics taken with the iphone to this post. I hope your weekend was as relaxing as mine!!

Birthday at Indiana Dunes

Last week was my oldest sons Birthday. He turned 11 years old. I have to admit I wasn’t super thrilled about it. Seeing my kids grow up gives me some serious mixed emotions. On the one hand I’m as proud of can be of both of my sons. I thank God every day for the honor of being their Dad. I believe being a Dad is the  most important thing that I do. On the other hand seeing them getting older just reminds me that time is slipping a way and makes me a bit sad. Well, last week for Gavyn’s B-day we took him camping at Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore with my parents. We had a blast. If you’ve never been to the dunes then your missing out. They are beautiful, clean and if you live in Indiana….close. If you haven’t been…..GO!!! I’ve attached a few pics of the boys to give you a little taste of our mini-vacation and B-day festivities. Enjoy. (PS. these were taken with and iPhone)

Happy Birthday to you!!!!
