Project 52…Night Rider
Okay, here is the next Project 52 images. This one is entitled “Night Rider”. I’m working furiously to make my goal of 52 self portraits by the end of the year. Only 35 more to go.
Now for some technical data…..this image was shot in my back yard about 6pm. I am using three lights. Two are slightly behind me on either side at 1/16th power and they are bare bulb. The third ison my right at 1/8th power and is shooting through an umbrella. The camera is on a tripod and a lower angle. I used a slow shutter speed to try and capture some ambient light. 15th of a second and my apature was f8 with an iso of 200. Enjoy, and as alwasy please feel free to comment.
Family Portraits
This last weekend I had the opportunity to do family portraits for the Earl family. We had a great time and got some great images. This is the second time in the last two years that I’ve been able to capture images of their family. I think it’s awesome to see a family making it a priority to have family portraits taken. Thanks guys…I had a blast.
Project 52…”Not a Good Idea”
Well, I got a little lazy with my Project 52 the last several months but I’m going to end the year strong. I’ve got 6.5 weeks to shoot 36 Self Portraits in order to have 52 of them done by the end of the year. I’m not sure if I’ll make it but I’m going to do my best. This one is # 17 in the series and is entitled….”Not a Good Idea”. Haven’t you ever wanted to touch the ends of the jumper cables together before. I mean, be honest, haven’t you been tempted? Well trust me it is …”Not a Good Idea.” LOL.
Here is some technical stuff for any fellow photogs out there. This was shot at iso 200, 180th of a sec at f8.0. I’ve got one flash up above at camera left pointing down at me at 1/8th power and a second flash to camera right and sitting about stomach high on my desk pointing up at me at 1/16th power. The second flash was covered by the edge of some material from another umbrella sitting accross the unit. Of course I played with it a whole bunch in photoshop. I added a little texture to make the background a little more interesting. If you have any questions please send me an email. Enjoy.
Trey’s B-day
My youngest son Trey had a B-day party on Saturday. We took a few quick snaps of the festivities. He invited a few of his buddies over and they had a “Nerf” Gun war. They played capture the flag and a little bit of flag football afterward we had some Hotdogs, chips and cake & ice cream. All and all the day was a huge success. I can’t believe that I have two sons in double digits. It makes me feel old.
