More Football

My boys had their first game today. Unfortunately they lost 12-14.  It was a good game and they had a great time. We still have a lot of football to play so I know there are some wins coming our way. When we got home ,and while they still had their uniforms on, I took a few more pictures of them. Hope you enjoy.

Youth Football 2009

My sons are on the same football team. My oldest, Gavyn, is 10 and my youngest, Trey, is 8. Gavyn is playing Running Back and Trey is playing Wide Reciever. Tommorow is their first game. They are so pumped up and excited and of course I’m so proud of them. We were going to do a shoot of them outside tonight with all their pads on but a storm blew through the area. So, I got them to let me take a few quick pics in the house. Don’t they look tough!!

Davis Boys Backpacking!

Last weekend I took my two sons, Gavyn (10) and Trey (8), backpacking at Shades State Park. The park has a 2 1/2 mile backpacking trail with backcountry camping. We had a blast. We cooked food on our homemade stove. We went fishing, wading in the river and crawdad hunting. We stayed up till midnight around the bonfire and we had a severe thunderstorm (60 mph winds) blow through. It got a little intense but the boys were real troopers. It was a great weekend. Here are a few pics from the weekend.

Family, Fun, the Fair and Fotos…

I thought I’d share what we were up to the last weekend as a family.

But first…. as you know I entered the 4H fair open class photo comp. I ended up with a second place print, a first place print and a Reserve Grand Champion print. It was fun. I’m ready to start creating some fine art prints just to use in print competitions. You can see a picture of the RGC print below with the beautiful purple ribbon.

Well, we spent the day last Saturday at the Montgomery Co. 4H fair. We ate Funnel Cake, Corn Dogs, Nachos, Hawaian Shaved Ice, Hand Breaded Tenderloin, Deep Fried Cheese Cake…..mmmmm. Now don’t look at me like that….I shared. We had a blast walking through the animal barns and seeing all the exhibits. We also stopped by a car show that was going on and toured the hot-rods and antique cars. I think I need to get a bright orange Camaro….okay, maybe not.  I love spending time with my family. We had a blast. There are pictures of all kinds of stuff down below including a picture of the boys playing in the rain and splashing in a puddle in the driveway.
